Schools

Fair Trade starts with education and it’s important to teach children and young people about their impact in the world. We provide a range of free primary and secondary teaching resources to support global learning in your classroom through the Fairtrade schools scheme which is run by The Fairtrade Foundation. These resources meet the criteria of the curriculum for Wales and one of its four purposes to support learners to become ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world.

Using these tools, you’ll be able to teach pupils about Fair Trade and global issues from nursery through to secondary school and provide fun weekly challenges to help your pupils learn about, and tackle, climate change. Better still, most resources are also available in Welsh.

You can also register for a Fairtrade School Award to gain recognition for your school’s work on Fairtrade.

Colleges and Universities

Your college or university can become a part of the Fair Trade movement. A Fairtrade university or college is committed to selling and promoting Fairtrade goods, and educating its students and staff about Fairtrade.

The Fairtrade University and College Award recognises institutions that have embedded ethical and sustainable practices through their curriculum, procurement, research and campaigns. The Award is run by the Fairtrade Foundation.
