In 2008, Wales became the first Fair Trade Nation in the world. A title built on public action, local campaigns, and a belief that trade should work for people, not just profit.

Today, in 2025, that commitment matters more than ever.

The recent UK aid cuts have further undermined support for communities already facing global inequality and climate injustice. But, Fair Trade offers another path – one that is community-led, farmer-powered, and rooted in justice.
